Writing Release Notes That Don't Sound Like a Changelog Nobody Reads
"Bug fixes and performance improvements" as release notes is technically compliant but does nothing for your update's visibility or your users' trust. Play's algorithm and users both respond better to specific, human release notes.
The pattern worth stealing: naming the actual user-facing change ("Fixed a crash when exporting large files") performs better for both re-engagement and review sentiment than generic maintenance language, even for a minor patch release.

Fix: write one specific, real line per release, even for small updates — skip the generic template entirely.
